Many minor surgery procedures are now not covered on the NHS, such as the removal of benign (non-cancerous) skin lesions including cysts, skin tags, and benign moles.

Skin tags and benign (non-cancerous) moles cannot be removed on the NHS, but cancerous moles (melanomas) will always be dealt with urgently on the NHS.
