Physical wellbeing, with mental and social wellbeing are the core of your present health but also importantly your long-term health. We all know prevention of a disease where possible is far easier than treatment. In fact, there is increasing evidence that health promotion through improving our physical wellbeing with Exercise, Healthy eating and Healthy weight (including reducing your risk with Smoking, and Alcohol and drugs) is the most powerful treatment we can provide.
Professor Muir Gray has articulated this perspective in his “live longer better” campaign (Live longer better). In the section “Reduce your risk of…. “we demonstrate how simple lifestyle changes can make a profound difference in lowering your health risks with certain conditions (Reduce your risk of...).
