Triage Newsletter

On Thursday 14th November 2024, we will be introducing Total Triage system. Please do not queue outside the Surgery as you will no longer be able to book an appointment without submitting an online triage form first.

All requests for appointments (routine and urgent) will be reviewed by our triage team, and an appointment or advice will be offered as clinically appropriate. This may include being navigated to a local service or selfcare. We want to make sure patients are getting the advice and access they need in a timely manner, when they contact the practice, in line with their clinical needs.

You should no longer telephone the practice to book a GP appointment. Bookings will be replaced with a new, quick and simple online triage form provided by the Total Triage system. This can be accessed through our website from 7.30 am Monday to Friday.

For those unable to contact the practice online, please call our Care Navigation Team who will be able to assist you by completing your request for you.

Please note, there is no change to the booking of The Nursing Team appointments for the time being – these appointments can be arranged by phoning the surgery, as usual.

We would like to remind patients that if they are experiencing life-threatening symptoms, please dial 999, or if you’re unsure what service you need consider using 111 online.

Over the next four weeks, we have limited availability, as our current system winds down (routine appointments are not available to book beyond November13th).

Many neighbouring practices are now using this system, and feedback has been very positive.

Thank you for support and understanding as we make this transition – we hope this will improve care and continuity, enabling those who need to see a GP, to do so promptly.
